Has Anyone Had The Experience? "The Secret"
by titch ini'd like to get some input and insight from anyone here who has had the experience of having their life transformed, in some way, by reading and applying the principles found in the book, "the secret", authored by rhonda byrne.

being free of JW life I don't want to thing anything is the answer! I read the book and watched the dvd because my biological mother wrote a book and that "secret" was such an insperation to her I felt i needed to know what she was talking about. I take it with a grain of salt. I think being + will make you a better person but not solve every problem you have. there is no easy answer. but + life is always good

Make meetings pass by quicker
by Cook My Socks UK ini came up with a new game today - certainly made the meeting pass by quickly.
before the meeting i edited all the elders and servants mobile numbers on my phone so that they would'nt get the caller id up(141 in uk).
then, during the meeting i called them all one at a time.

wish cell phones came in here I'd be tempted to go back for one meeding say CO visit to try that... I learned how to write with my left hand. Took notes with my left hand and now I can use both...

Thousands of people have come and gone from this site....is this part of the healing process???
by Witness 007 ini see alot of new names here lately and if you look at the log on names here there are thousands who have moved on....every 2 years the posters change.....some vent and leave, others stay on for years.
i guess moving on with your life is a good thing, i think this site helps...any thoughts?.

It's hard to say how many visit this site but never post do to fear of getting caught. I'm sure there are some JW "police" trying to find out who all the apostates are. I like this site it makes me feel part of a community that we all understand. Plus I get to learn what is "new" before the majority of JW's. I don't feel judged here.

Feel like I am going to explode
by mamalove intoo much reading this weekend i think..... my blood is boiling between the two books.
the mental part is disturbing me greatly about the truths in brainwashing and cultism, and coc is infuriating me about the whole attitude of the jw org.. i cannot stop thinking of my family who i have not talked to in 6 months.
not a single word....i keep thinking of how and when it would be right and the best way to talk to them.

It seems 100% clear to me and that is what I call it! But that did take time, first it was the right religion I just needed a break, then it was a good religion just not for me, then it was a hurtful religion and now I can say I know it is a mind controling cult!

i'm technically inactive, as many of you know, with obvious apostate leanings that via gossip in the congregation has me shunned by most.. recently at work somebody asked me what religion i am.
i was taken aback and instinctively answered, "jehovah's witness," then quickly added "but i'm inactive.

some how you may omit the JW smell cuz that is a question you ask when you THINK someone has a JW conection. It takes time to get the drug out of your system. Read Coc from Raymond Frans and heal from them. They are Wrong and you need to live life the way God wanted you to

Yes. the first that came to my mind was when I first stopped the JW life I prayed daily that someone would come and encourage me to come back. After 6 months I realized the answer was NO. Never been happier!
